Manager Will Graham gives an update …………..

As we approach the start of pre season which is now less than two weeks away. I am really pleased with how our preparations are going as a club and how the team is starting to shape up. Obviously we started with the potential of losing a dozen players to various clubs and this was looking at a real challenge to rebuild a competitive side. I believe that we as a club have done the right thing and not be panicked into players seeking over the odds.

I have spoken to a lot of players, but players need to believe in what I deliver and what the club offer and I believe the bottom line is honesty and commitment.

We are really starting to form a competitive side for next season and beyond with a good mixture of experience and youth. I am especially pleased with Nick Treadwell, Luke Doherty, Ollie Gray, Kane Rowland all resisting the urge to follow others.

We welcomes Sam Bewick (signing from Hythe) and the return of Danny Keyte, Ashley Ulph & Joe Kennett.

There is still a little business to be done, Simon, I & the Management Team are working tirelessly, however with pre season fast approaching potential Trialist’s are welcomed to see if they can impress and in the first instance should contact the club for details secretary@whitstabletownfc.co.uk

I must say that I am very disappointed that Herne Bay cancelled the Bruce Smith Shield game at such a late stage, especially after asking for this date back in March; however we move on and will seek an alternative fixture, it’s just a shame on Bruce who is a club and local legend. Gary & I are working together to try and secure two further home fixtures for 11th July and 1st August so watch this space.

As mentioned we return to Pre Season on Saturday 27th June at 10.30am at Radfall Recreation Fields should any of our loyal supporters wish to show your faces.
