WTFCRESWhitstable Town Reserves scoop the majority of Kent League Awards.

At the last AGM of the Kent League (the competition now being renamed The Southern Counties East Football League – ‘Scefl’ within the National Leagues structure) on Saturday at The Brands Hatch Thistle hotel, Whitstable Town Reserves scooped several awards; not only crowned as Division One Champions, Town were also presented with Awards (KL Rose bowl) for being the highest scorers in the division, but also being presented with the Golden Boot as Andre Marques scored 26 goals making him the highest scorer within the division.

To cap it all, Manager Bob Reardon was presented with a personal award for Division One Manager of the Year.

Gary Johnson, he himself having just completed his first year as Chairman, was clearly delighted with what the club bagged in awards for last term, but now looks forward to the new season; commenting ‘ last season’s reserves under Bob’s stewardship excelled and its sad to see that the former Kent League will not now run a Reserve Division this term’; (Town themselves having withdrawn & entered the newly created Ryman U21 League’)…….he continued……’success next season is all about developing players to support Nicky Southall & the Club move forward, every player will have a great opportunity within the Club.


The first & eagerly awaited pre-season is this Saturday at Home to League Club Dagenham & Redbridge whom are bringing their full first team to The Belmont, kick off 3pm.
