Tony Rouse has stepped down as Press Officer for Whitstable Town Football Club, with Andy Short taking over with immediate effect: “After many years supporting the club from the terraces to my stint as chairman of my local club, it’s been ‘one hell of a ride’, I have seen the club progress from the Kent League to the Ryman.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Joe (Brownett) his family and all associated with the club, past and present managers and players and all my friends on the committee; plus all the loyal WTFC supporters. With Gary (Johnson) taking over as chairman, Justin (Luchford) now in charge as the clubs manager with new backroom staff and work going on behind the scenes’ who knows how far the club can go.
I shall still be involved around the club, once Town gets under your skin it’s very hard not to feel passionate about your local club, the players and all involved. I have some great memories and look forward to seeing the team play their first match of the new season. Tony:
