Earlier today, Whitstable completed the signings of two new players and they will be added to the squad for the Bostik South East league match against Horsham tomorrow.
Midfielder Michael Jenner joins from Faversham Town. He has previously played for Herne Bay and Hollands and Blair. Manager Scott Porter said “I have been trying to sign Michael for a while, but with the recent changes to their management team, things have taken longer to complete. He will fit into our team well and we are pleased to have him with us at Whitstable.”
Sam Welch has also signed from Chatham Town. He is a right back whose previous clubs include Hollands and Blair, Hythe Town and Sittingbourne. Scott added “Sam is a right sided player, whom we are happy to have added to our squad. Some of our existing players know him from his previous clubs.”
For those planning an away trip to the Horsham game, please note that they are currently playing their home matches on the 3G pitch at the Sussex FA headquarters in Lancing, until their new Hop Oast ground is ready.
