Whitstable Town start their FA Vase campaign on Saturday 10 September with a home fixture against Chichester City of the Southern Combination Football League Premier Division.
This will be the first time Whitstable have played in this famous competition since the 2006-2007 season, when Mark Seager’s side went out early following a disappointing 1-0 defeat at recent FA Cup opponents Oakwood FC. It was to be the last FA Vase game until now as promotion to the Ryman League at the end of that season meant participation in the FA Trophy instead. Whitstable had recorded their best run in the competition ten years earlier, reaching the last sixteen before losing 1-0 away to eventual runners up North Ferriby United in the shadow of the Humber Bridge.
For the winners of this First Round Qualifying tie there is a prize of £600 and a home fixture against Sheppey United on Saturday 24 September.
