Whitstable came away from Chipstead on Tuesday losing to a second half penalty.
The first half was one of very few chances but with the majority of the possession falling to the hosts who hit the bar after 40 minutes. Whitstable’s chances were limited with the best opportunity coming to Ollie Brown who hit a bullet shot that was well saved.
The second half brought about more possession from Whitstable but they were unable to turn these into meaningful chances . Luke Watkins was stretched in goal and forced to make several good saves . However the decisive moment came in the 57th minute when Town gave away a penalty. Will Turl converted from the spot to score the goal that

proved thee winner. There was one more moment of drama at the end of the game when Chipstead’s Steff Joseph was sent off after kicking the ball away and appearing to say some to the referee.
Town will now need to regroup before Thursday game at home to Guernsey.
