RESERVES THROUGH IN CUP AND SIGN NEW PLAYER

Kent Hurlimann League Division One Cup

Whitstable Town Reserves 5

Rusthall Reserves 0

This was the second game between these two sides this season and Town’s first cup game. It started strangely as six players from Rusthall had to leave the pitch to sign registration papers. This was followed by a minutes silence for referee Neil Conlon who passed away at a game last week. With five regulars away Town started with several Under 18’s who were playing their debut’s. It took Town 15 minutes to score their opening goal with a good effort from the right hand side. It then became a very one sided first half with Rusthall defending their goal admirably. Three more goals were scored before the half time break. The second half was very much the same with Rusthall on the back foot, with town playing the ball around at will. Some of the passing was nothing short of superb. Town scored again on  75 minutes  and simply played the last 15 minutes keeping possession. Town now go to Holmesdale on Tuesday night to take on a strong side.

The reserves  have also signed Under 18 player Lewis King. He has impressed and the club are glad that he has been rewarded with the opportunity to step up
