Player Updates

This has been a busy week for manager Scott Porter and his coaching team and as reported in the local press, some changes have been made to the Whitstable Town playing squad.

There are two new players who have been registered today and they will go straight into the squad for the game against Faversham at the Belmont Ground tomorrow. Miles Cornwell joins from Herne Bay. The 28 year old striker has previously played for several other Kent clubs including Sittingbourne and Folkestone. Taylor Fisher, a young left sided player who is a product of the Dartford FC academy, has also signed. He made one goal scoring appearance for Dartford in the FA Trophy and has also played for Beckenham Town this season.

Several players will be signing dual registration forms with other clubs to allow them more regular game time. These are Harry Brown, Chris Elliott, Teddy Nelson and Louis Sprosen.

Sam Welch and Kyran Connolly have both left the club and Chris Saunders has been released. We would like thank these players for their efforts during their time at Whitstable and wish them well.

In other player news, Charlie Smith made his 200th appearance for Whitstable at Hornchurch on Tuesday, which is a great achievement. He is leading the appearance table for current players. Defenders Rob Gillman and Tom Bryant both recently passed 100 appearances, so congratulations go to all of them. The appearance table as it currently stands is shown below.
