Nicky Southall was quick to praise his side after they progressed to the next round in the FA Trophy with a 2-1 victory over Hythe Town. He also complained that: ‘No side should miss two penalties in a match let alone inside fifteen minutes, We made hard work of it to be fair, Hythe are a good side and we always knew it would be tight, put those penalties away and it would have been a much easier game.
I was very pleased with Jake MacKenzie, his work rate along with a number of the players was first class. We did not let Hythe get into a rhythm and I told the lads we fully deserve to be in the next round. We are now looking forward to the weekend to get back to league action and points on the board, that is my focus right now.”
(Sorry about the sound quality, hope the wind didn’t spoil it too much.)
