Whitstable Town Under 21s 1 Three Bridges Under 21s 1

Ryman Football Under 21 League (South)

Thursday 28th August 2014

The Under 21s appeared to be holding to all three points when an defensive muddle right on full time ended with the ball being converted by a defender into his own net from a corner to give Three Bridges a share of the points. The first half had been entertaining with both teams creating chances but the first goal was not to come until early in the second period when Matty Guila unleashed a low drive from outside the penalty area to give Whitstable the lead. A penalty save by Charlie Hills following a trip in the penalty area kept Town in front. The late goal was probably just reward for Three Bridges who had battled all evening in an entertaining game.
