Whyteleafe Under 21s 1 Whitstable Town Under 21s 2

Ryman Under 21 League South

Wednesday 18th November 2015

With only a small squad available the U21s went to Whyteleafe with the same positive winning attidude and mental strength that has been instilled into the squad and came out on top for a hard fought 2-1 win. Whitstable started well in the first half creating a number of good chances which on a good day could have seen them go in at half time 4-0 up but only managed to go in at the break with a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal by Liam Mathews

The second half began with a number of good moves by Whyteleafe but just could not break down the Whitstable defensive lines. As the game became more open Whitstable forged open another opportunity and Josh Algar scored a second goal. This forced Whyteleafe to make a number of changes to try and salvage the game.   Eventually it took an error to allow the home side to score, who then did everything they could in the last 13 minutes to get an equaliser but the Whitstable lines held firm and came away deserved winners and top of the league.
