Whitstable Town Will Graham manager announces two new signings after drawing against Faversham in the Alan Turvey Cup, then losing out in the penalty shoot-out. “We were better on Tuesday but we are still not the finished article, don’t forget we are building a completely new side from scratch, and that takes time. We are seven weeks into the process and now starting to show signs we are on the right track, it’s still a work in progress and I am very excited about the two lads we have just signed.
Will Graham with assistant manager Simon Halsey speaking after the 2-1 victory at The Belmont on Saturday against AFC Hornchurch in the last pre-season game:
“We worked hard in the first half but their midfield were on top, we turned it round in the next forty-five with a very strong second half performance against a good side. It was pleasing to win as it sets us up nicely for the start of the league next week which I am looking forward to.”

Will Graham speaking on Thursday evening as he unveils striker Chris Seenan (who completed his signing from Tunbridge Wells on Saturday afternoon), along with Scott Heard who has put pen to paper again for Whitstable. Graham also speaks about his approach to pre-season games, the reason he is not panicking, and why he needs to have more than just a quick look at trialist. “Things are very much on track, changes at any club always take time but I am not one to get too rattled, just can’t wait for the start of the season.
