The Under 21’s went down 3-2 in a highly entertaining game against Maidstone United at the Belmont on Thursday evening. In an even first half Maidstone took the lead via Alex Flisher on 30 minutes to go in at half time one nil up.

Whitstable equalised on 62 minutes when Joe Kane was on hand to slot the ball into the net as he got on the end of a free kick. Only four minutes later Dan Parkinson hit a bullet free kick to give the Stones the lead.  Alex Flisher was to get his second on 74 minutes

with another spectacular attempt. Town did get one back in injury time when Beau Taylor slotted home a penalty but it was too late and the title ended up going to Maidstone.
