UNDER 21’s DRAW AT THREE BRIDGES

Three Bridges Under 21’s 1 Whitstable Town Under 21’s 1

Ryman Football League Under 21 (South)

Saturday 23rd November 2013

The game started well with Whitstable Town pressing the opposition and putting them under pressure and their reward for some decent  approach came  when a decant through ball found debutant Matt Martin for his first goal on his debut. The first half finished with Town winning one-nil. The surprise in the second half was that Whitstable were not at their best with poor decisions, poor approach play and not working hard enough. Whitstable were to concede in the 70th minute and held on for the draw.

Town coach Ian Grieves said after the game. “We were absolutely outplayed in the second half and still did not lose -we have lads that played midweek for the first team and but really looked tired.  When these lads come back  to the 21s they must put a shift in. Bob Reardon said that would not be recommending many this week on this poor performance and it is lucky we did not lose.
