Whitstable Town FC

PRESENTATION EVENING

A look back at Friday’s Presentation Evening

Laurence Harvey wins Supporters Player of the Year

A bumper crowd celebrated individual player Achievements at the Clubs End of Season Presentation Evening at The Belmont.

Supporters, Players & Partners along with Parents & others watched, cheered & celebrated the accolades from the three teams that represent Whitstable Town – from the U18s through the 21s and into the First Team.

Departing Manager  Nicky Southall addressed his players & the assembled crowd with an emotional farewell, thanking the Chairman, Board, Staff & Management Team for their dedication and loyalty which has often  gone unnoticed; he added his personal attributes to individual players and crowned the winners of the awards.

There was also speeches from U21 development Manager, also departing, who added his personal thanks to all with  U18s Supremo Tony Hudson also summarising the achievements of his ever improving squad.

Joe Kane Manager’s and Players Player of the Season

With player development at the very heart of the Club, many players have enjoyed stints with the first team & some have really taken their chance and shone in doing so making many, many appearances proving that here at Whitstable Town if your good enough, your old enough and proved that the Club really has assisted towards player development and given youth an opportunity.

Chairman, Gary Johnson, added his thanks to the backroom staff & unsung heroes of the Club, from the ‘small army’ of volunteers (there are never enough), through the Ladies that provide refreshments in the Boardroom (Connie & Josie), the T-Bar (Pat & Denise) & Bar Staff (led by Lorraine). Of course many people make a club, but it’s the players on the park that attract folk through the gates; together with recognition and thanks to his ‘Board’.

The Chairman’s thanks in closing went to Nicky Southall with whom he developed a close working relationship and for whom he offered his thanks and best wishes for his future management career.
