Whitstable manager Scott Porter has moved to strengthen the defence following recent performances and on Thursday completed the signings of Rob Gillman and Connor Hood.
Rob is an experienced central defender whose previous clubs include Bromley, Dover, Thurrock and most recently Greenwich Borough, with whom he won the Southern Counties East League title last season. He did have a brief spell at Whitstable in the 2012-13 season under former manager Justin Luchford.
Connor is a young right back who came through the successful Maidstone FC Academy and last season played a number of games for Hythe, before joining Tunbridge Wells in the summer.
We welcome both players to The Belmont.
One other piece of news is that Ollie Brown has been released by the club and everyone at Whitstable Town wishes him well for the future.
