FOLKESTONE INVICTA TOO STRONG FOR U18s

Folkestone Invicta   8 – 2   Whitstable Town

Kent Youth Cup 3rd Round

Sunday 22nd November 2015

The Under 18s bowed out of the Kent Cup today after a dominant performance from Folkestone Invicta who came out 8-2 victors. Town started slowly and allowed Folkestone to control the game, and found themselves 3-0 down after a sloppy twenty minutes. The Oyster Boys were creating their own problems by giving the ball away in dangerous areas which directly led to two of the first three Folkestone goals. The score at half time was 4-0, leaving Whitstable a mountain to climb in the second half. The second half performance was much better, as Town dominated the game for a fifteen minute spell, grabbing goals through Josh Howland and a penalty from Bradley Dale. However Folkestone proved to be too strong and pushed on with some fantastic finishing to take the game away from Whitstable.

On to another big challenge next week for Town who travel to Rusthall in the Challenge Cup.
