Burgess Hill Town 3 Whitstable Town 2 PDF Print E-mail
Picture: Per Laleng: After going nine points clear of the relegation zone Whitstable Town travelled to Burgess Hill Town looking for another three points and move themselves further away from the dreaded drop.
After Saturday's home win over Worthing the Reds showed one change with Tom Parker coming in for Jake Gess.

The home side took only four minutes to open the scoring when Neil Watts beat Kevin Fewell with a left foot shot.

Picture: Per Laleng: Town started to get into the game as the half wore on and were rewarded when Ian Pulman latched onto a ball from strike partner David Cory after 28 minutes to beat Chris May to level the scores.

The second half was only five minutes old when Burgess Hill regained the lead when Steve Harper flicked the ball home from a Watts cross from the left.

A resolute Town were level again within two minutes when Nick Bagley rifled a superb shot from thirty yards which beat May all ends up for a contender for goal of the season.

The home side then hit the bar through Lloyd Cotton before with just seven minutes remaining Harper beat Kevin Fewell with a shot which went in at the near post.
