Kent Football round-up midweek and last weekend
At Hartsdown Park an equaliser from Gavin McGowan secured Margate a 1-1 draw their eighth in the Ryman Premier Division while a Jimmy Dryden goal his 100th for the club earnt Folkestone a 1-0 win against East Thurrock and a Mark Tompkins goal gave Bromley a 1-0 win at Leyton.In the Ryman First Division leaders Tonbridge were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Molesey despite taking the lead through Leroy Huggins.

At Southwood, third placed Ramsgate had a 1-0 win over Horsham thanks to a Warren Schulz goal while fourth placed Dover beat Walton Casuals 2-1 with two goals from Craig Wilkins.At Homelands Ashford defeated Corinthian Casuals 3-1 with an own goal, Shaun Bradshaw and Steve Humphrey on target.Cray lost their fifth game in a row losing 1-0 at Dulwich Hamlet.  In the Kent Senior Trophy Slade Green took the lead through Glen McTaggert only for visitors Tunbridge Wells to equalise through David Batt and after extra time failed to seperate the two sides it was the Wells who went through on penalties.In the Kent Premier League a Danny Smith goal gave Deal a 1-0 win at Herne Bay.The London Senior Cup match saw Thamsmead defeat Greenwich Borough 2-1 at Bayliss Avenue.

Seventeen-year-old Onome Sodje earnt Gravesend & Northfleet a point in a 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley in Nationwide Conference while in Conference South Welling also gained a point in a 0-0 draw at Bognor Regis. In the Ryman Premier Bromley thanks to a Nick McDonnell hatrick and a Joe Vines goal beat Windsor & Eton 4-1.A Daniel Sacha goal helped Margate to a 1-1 draw at Walton & Hersham and Folkestone went down 5-0 at Harrow.In the First Division a Carl Rook penalty earnt Dover a 1-0 win against Newport IOW and the other winners were Tonbridge who with goals from Jay May and Luke Piscina won 2-1 at Lymington & New Milton. Ashford were beaten 2-0 by Tooting & M itcham,Cray went down 2-1 at Croydon Ath Jamie Wood on target and Ramsgate who netted through Shaun Welford and Steffan Ball were beaten 4-2 by Bashley.
In the Dr Martens Eastern Division leaders Boreham Wood were held to a 1-1 draw at Sittingbourne with Bradley Spice or target for the Brickies. Chatham who took the lead through Brendan Cass lost 2-1 at Enfield Town while Dartford thanks to a Jimmy Carter strike drew 1-1 with Berkhamsted.
In the Kent Premier League previously unbeaten Beckenham were beaten 3-1 at home by Herne Bay despite taking the lead through Jamie Cheeseman the winners netting through Luke Harvey (2) and Marlon Button. Then Herne Bay lost 1-0 to Deal at home on Tuesday night The FA Vase brought good results for Kent sides with a Lyndon Rowland treble earning Maidstone a 3-0 win at Eastbourne while Dan Fisk and Richard Sinden netted for Hythe in their 2-1 over Moneyfields. At the Small Glen home side Slade Green defeated East Preston 2-1 with goals from Tony Weir and Glen McTaggert and a double from Curtis Williams helped Thamesmead to a 4-2 win at Lymington while other winners were Greenwich 1-0 at Gosport,VCD 3=0 at Saltdean and Erith who beat Andover New Street 3-2. A replay awaits Lordswood who drew 2-2 at Selsey while the two losers were Sevenoaks 3-2 at home to VTFC and Sporting Bengal who lost 4-1 to Felixstowe & Walton. Mark Wyver:
