match report by Mark Wyver: After last weeks Ryman Division One South victory over Corinthian Casuals the Reds of Whitstable Town travelled to Leatherhead whom they had defeated earlier in the season.
After last weeks Ryman Division One South victory over Corinthian Casuals the Reds of Whitstable Marc Seager kept an unchanged side from the previous Saturday which meant recent signings Nick Bagley and Danny Wisker started on the bench alongside the fit again Sam Denly.

On a pitch that cut up badly from the start, passing was not going to be easy as Town looked to move away from the relegation zone.

Neither Aaron France in the home goal or his opposite number Kevin Fewell were tested in the opening exchanges. Home striker Carl Gibbs did strike one effort just over the bar.

The best chance Town had of a rather dull half came when Jake Gess powered a header against the home sides upright with France well beaten.

The breakthrough for the home side came on 29 minutes when David Cory was given offside in a rather harsh offside. The resulting freekick found its way into the path of Carl Gibbs who rifled past Fewell at his near post.

The remainder of the half was mainly a midfield scrap although Steven Lloyd made a vital block just before the interval.

The second half began with Town playing some of their best football with Danny Tipple causing trouble down the left hand side.

Ian Pulman had a good chance when given the chance to shoot only for France to save the effort. Jake Gess also had an excellent chance to draw Town level only for him to blaze well wide with only the keeper to beat.

The management introduced Denly, Bagley and Marshall at different stages to try and salvage a point but to no avail. From a breakaway in the 90th minute home hero Dave Stevens beat Fewell to earn his side the three points.
