Below par Town end year on low note... |

With most other
results of the clubs around them ending to their advantage; Town missed the chance to end the year on a
high after a below par performance against old Kent league rivals Sittingbourne, losing 2-0 .
In a match which manager Marc Seager described the first half as ‘poor
from both side’ Town missed their best chance to take the lead midway through the
second half after new signing Ian Pullman missed with just the keeper to beat.
The visitors went straight from defence to attack and Town’s confidence ebbed away
with every touch of the ball after they scored a ‘gift of a goal’. Their second;
after some poor defending by Town presented the visitors with a free kick,
which was delightfully bent round Whitstable’s defensive wall to settle the
