Seager suffers ‘Black’ day |

WTFC manager Marc Seager: Both the visitors Whitstable, and Eastbourne
Town gave their all in a effort to serve up some Pre-Xmas fare only to be
overshadowed by the man in the middle who seemed more intent on upsetting ‘all
twenty two’ players who wanted to play football.
How sad that his shambled
efforts at controlling the game should overshadow some good football by both
sides. His part in the game aside; the game had it all, a handball resulting in
a missed penalty by Whitstable’s Marcos Perona when they trailed by a single
goal. Prior to that the ref missed a clear-cut penalty when Whitstable’s new
signing striker Ian Pullan was pushed over inside the area two handed by a
Eastbourne player. Both sides hit the post twice; Whitstable’s Steve Marshall
twice pulled his side back into the game with well-taken goals. Whitstable had
another penalty decision even more blatant than their first, the home side
themselves had a stone dead penalty waved away minutes before they scored their
injury time winner. Pity when the game was so entertaining that the man in the
middle contrived to spoil it. He even managed to have a ‘stand up row’ with
both captains, one in each half; looking for all the world like a school
teacher remonstrating his errant pupil for daring to talk back. Full Match
