Mark Wyver reporting: Whitstable Town made three changes to the starting line up from the one that beat Chatham Town for their Isthmian League Cup 3rd Round tie at Dartford.
On loan Liam Quinn, Jon Neal and the injured Sam Denly were replaced in the line up by Tommy Martin, Dan Stubbs and Steve Marshall.

The home side also made wholsale changes and made the best possible start when after just eight minutes of play Yohance Lewis beat Kevin Fewell with a super strike from fully twenty yards.

The yound Darts side who were led by first team regular John Guest extended their lead further when Tom Bradbrook finished after some sloppy defending by the Reds.

The Oystermen had two chances of their own once they had gone two goals down the first when Steve Marshall's effort was well saved by James Tedder while the highly rated young keeper also tipped over a Tom Parker effort.

In the second half the game was finally put to bed when Lewis again struck for the home side after again Whitstable failed to deal with the Darts attack.

Young forward Dan Lawrence should have done better when well placed to test Tedder while Jon Neal was brought on for Marshall in an attempt to pull a goal back.

However it was Dartford who now travel to Heybridge Swifts in the 4th Round while Whitstable will be looking to consolidate their place in the Ryman Division One South.
