Picture Danny Lawrence first full game for Town:  Whitstable Town 2 vs. Kingstonian 3: by Mark Wyver: Whitstable Town welcomed Kingstonian to Belmont Road in a bid to halt three succesive Ryman Division One South defeats.

Marc Seager signed Liam Quinn on a months loan from Dover Athletic and he came in to Central defence at the expense of Michael Adcock while Dan Lawrence was given his first full start alongside Jon Neal up front which led to Tommy Martin being left out of the midfield.

The visitors almost smatched the lead early on when Quinn had to clear off the goaline after Kevin Fewell was beaten by a Dean Lodge effort. Whitstable responded with Luke Garrard ,making hard work of a Danny Tipple cross.

The opening goal arrived on 38 minutes after Steven Lloyd had conceded a free kick on the edge of the area. Nick Rundall stepped up to fir his shot straight through the wall and into the back of Fewell's net.

The best chance for Whitstable was from a Jake Gess cross which was met by the head of Sam Denly only for Garrard to comfortably save on the line.

The second half started with Town showing more purpose with Lawrence showing up well in his first start. Gary Sayer and Tipple were getting forward well which made for an entertaing game.

The good work was undone however in the 64th minyte when Carl Gibbs punished some slack defending by the home defence to finish past Fewell and make it 2-0.

Jon Neal the gave Whitstable a lifeline when he was tugged back in the penalty area which resulted in a penalty being awarded. After some mind games from Garrard which earned him  yellow vard Neal beat him from the spot despite the keeper getting a hand to the ball.

Only five minutes later and the K's were awarded their own penalty when a rash tackle inside the Reds penalty area saw the referee point to the spot. Neil Lampton duly converted to put his side 3-1 ahead.

To Town's credit they never gave in and from a through ball with a few minutes remaining a visiting defender managed to head the ball past the onrushing Garrard while under pressure from Neal.

Despite five minutes of injury time the equaliser wouldn't come and it was Kingstonian who had the last chance when Gibbs fired wide of an open goal. An entertaining game which Whitstable fully deserved somthing from.
