Despite the losing scoreline the home supporters amongst the 239 at the game went home after seeing Whitstable had, apart from the scoreline, matched a side pushing for promotion at the other end of the table.
“I thought we played some great football, but yet again we got caught on the break and concede just when the momentum was with us,” said coach Simon Halsey:
“The lads gave their all and if they keep doing what Marc (Seager, WTFC manager) and I tell them before the game, carry that into the 90 minutes then we will OK. I’m not happy after another defeat, we lost the game but they will get on their coach knowing they were in a game of football and we were no pushovers. We can’t ask for more than that.” Match report and VIDEO interview to follow tomorrow: |
