The F. A. Vase (Sponsored by Carlsberg) Second Round Proper matches on Saturday saw Greenwich Borough and VCD Athletic win through to the Third Round Proper Draw with wins against Thamesmead Town and AFC Totton respectively.

At Bayliss Avenue, the "all Kent tie" saw the home side, League leaders at the start of the day, fall behind when Harbingi Grant netted after thirty five minutes. A close fought affair then saw Peter Smith score in the final minute, for a two nil victory, and the second loss for Thamesmead in eight days. VCD Athletic, who had received a bye to the Second Round, had an excellent win at AFC Totton, from the Wessex League Premier Division, when Kevin Spriggs scored the game's only goal after thirty eight minutes. At the Charles Sports Ground, Deal Town were in command at three nil shortly after the restart but they were eventually beaten by Moneyfields, the score four three. Danny Smith and Mark Pollard netted the first half goals before David Cory made it three nil with thirty eight minutes remaining.
The visitors fought back through Abdoulie N'Doye  and a brace from Graham Gee to level the match at three apiece. On eighty minutes, Ken Murphy then sealed the win with the visitors fourth of the afternoon.
