Seager; flattered by the rumours… PDF Print E-mail
Whitstable Towns young manager Marc Seager said he felt he need to make clear that the rumours connecting him with the current managerial vacancy’s at other Kent clubs are as he says: just rumours.

“ I was at the Ashford v Worthing game last night and the press were linking me to other clubs and I felt I needed to put the record straight as I want to concentrate fully on finishing the job I started at Whitstable as I feel the job is only half done. I said I would get the cub promoted, we’ve done that and now I want to establish us a Ryman League side; then see how far the club can go.

It’s no secret that I am ambitious, so are the club and all the while we are pulling together, which has always been the case in my time at Whitstable, then I am happy as manager of WTFC.

"Someone asked me if I was enjoying managing as much this season after the wonderful success we enjoyed last, you bet I am. We are now playing the likes of Dover, Kingstonian and other great long established clubs which means that I can test myself at a higher level against much more experienced managers.

"I have only been in management for just about two years and it’s been a roller coaster so far and I have enjoyed every minute of it. My family are behind me; I get the full support of the club and the supporters, the players get a great pitch to play on and we are improving all the time both on the field and off.

So as far as the rumours go,  I am flattered that my name has been linked to other clubs which to me means I must be doing something right, but I am very happy at Whitstable.”
