Picture: Steven Lloyd: An injury time header from big defender Steven Lloyd kept Whitstable Town's unbeaten run going to four games in the Ryman Division One South after a 1-1 draw with Molesey at Belmont Road. The website is experiencing technical difficulties, some reports may be delayed: Tony

The visitors arrived at the botom of the table having only won one game in their first eleven games although their last game was a fine victory at Leatherhead.

The Reds were missing Gary Sayer, Rob Thomas and Josh Maine from the back line due to injury which meant Michael Adcock partnering Lloyd in central defence with young James Duffy drafted into right back.

Injury and suspension also ruled Clint Gooding and Jake Gess out of contention as Marc Seager looked to see his side move further up the table.

It was the visitors who had the first opportunity to open the scoring when Referee Mr Gosling awarded them a penalty after a challenge which looked to be outside the area. From the resulting spot kick the ball was struck against Kevin Fewell's crossbar and the game stayed at 0-0.

In a scrappy affair in which Whitstable rarely threatened Molesey took the lead when Grant Keywood punished some slack defending to beat Fewell amid protests of handball from the home side.

Busy striker Jon Neal had a deflected shot palmed away by Jon Ashwood in the Molesey goal in Whitstable's only real chance of the first half.

After the interval The Reds played with slightly more purpose although still not threatening Ashwood. At the other end Fewell kept Whitstable in the game with a couple of important saves.

The experienced Steve Marshall was introduced to the fray to add more bite to the attack and he caused Molesey some problems with his off the ball running.

With most people in the crowd of 235 resigned to the fact Whitstable had put in a poor performance it was to the players credit that they never gave up and with Lloyd's looping header taking an age to cross the line it was the home crowd who celebrated a point at the death
