An unchanged Town side almost took the lead after just two minutes when Jon Neal lobbed home goalkeeper Colin Harris only to see his effort go over the top of the crossbar. The home side responded by taking a tenth minute lead when former QPR striker Leroy Griffiths beat Kevin Fewell from close range after the defence had failed to clear the ball. A slick Corinthian Casuals side looked dangerous when going forward and extended their lead on 21 minutes when Simon Mitchell netted to put his side 2-0 up. Chances were at a premium for Whitstable despite a battling display from the midfield in which Stubbs stood out on his second start for the club. It was the young midfielder who pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time. After winning the ball in a midfield tussle capatain Marcos Perona put a ball through to Akinde which the defence cleared for a corner. From the resulting corner kick it was Stubbs who rifled the ball past Harris to give The Reds a lifeline. Half Time: Corinthian Casuals 3 v WTFC 3 After the interval Marc Seager's men took the game to the hosts and duly equalised when Akinde beat Harris on 48 minutes much to the delight of the travelling Reds support. The game was an entertaining affair with Jake Gess testing Harris from the keepers resulting clearance which sailed safely back to the home custodian while Gary Sayer always looked to attack down the right flank. The home side went back in front on 77 minutes when from a long range effort, Kevin Fewell was beaten at his near post to give Casuals a 3-2 lead. The rain was now coming down heavily as the Reds continued to pressure. With five minutes remaing the bustling Akinde drove through the home defence and finished with aplomb past Harris to tie the game at 3-3. The Reds kept looking for the winner but were beaten by the referees whistle at the end. Another battling display sees Whitstable continue their unbeaten run going to three games in the Ryman League. 1. Fewell 2. Sayer 3. Tipple 4. Thomas 5. Lloyd 6. Hossick 7. Stubbs (Denly) 8.
