Last seasons Kent League Golden
Boot winner Stuart King has signed for Ryman Premier side Ramsgate. King who has
turned down a couple of offers from Jim Ward in his time at Town goes with
manager Marc Seager’s blessing.
Seager saying: “Stuart has, like
Andy Constable had a wonderful time at Whitstable and I am on record as saying
that I will never stand in the way of any player who wants to play at a higher
level. Kingy is a young ambitious player who wants to play at a higher level and
feels that now is the right time to make that step. He will be missed at
Whitstable as his goals helped us win promotion and is a natural goal scorer but
life goes on and I will be looking to strengthen the side in the coming weeks.
There is an old saying that as one door closes another opens and I am both
confident and excited about the future, I will as always continue to work on
strengthen the side in all positions”
Town chairman Tony Rouse added:
“Stuart has grown up in the time he has been at the club, he has undoubted
talent and I hope he fulfils his wish to progress to a full time career in
football. All at the club wish him well and on behalf of the club and the
supporters we wish him well.”
