No GAME this Saturday.. PDF Print E-mail
After Towns early exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Thamesmead, Whitstable manager Marc Seager has tried to bring forward the Chipstead home league game scheduled for Tuesday the 25th to this Saturday. Speaking to the WTFC website Seager saying:

“It made sense to me to bring the game forward it would have been far easier for Chipstead to come to the Belmont this Saturday than get his players down to us for a mid-week game, still if their manager does not want to move the fixture there is little we can do. I was pleased to get the first win as a Ryman club at the weekend, it was not a classic by any means but three points and a more committed performance from the lads and I am much happier than I was last week. I told the lads don’t be afraid for loosing, just go out to win every game. Be afraid of not performing because I will not tolerate that. If we loose and we have given it our best shot then I will take it on the chin but to not try our best, that is not good enough for us.”

he added: “I’m reasonably pleased with out start in the new league, I knew early on we had some tough games and given the results other sides have had against the likes of Dover, Met Police etc I have to be please with the way its gone so far. If we had started the season without injuries then I am sure we would have more points on the board. But everyone needs to be reminded that the hard work has only just begun, it’s a very long season and it will be a test for the players and for me as a manager to see how far we have progressed come April next year.”
