by Mark Wyver: Ebbsfleet slipped to fifteenth in the Blue Square
Premier after going down to a 2-0 defeat at Weymouth. This was the clubs third
consecutive defeat after a bright start to the season. Bromley had a Gareth
Williams penalty saved as they went down to a 1-0 defeat at Havant &
Waterlooville in their Blue Square South fixture.
Welling also lost as their
former striker Paul Booth scored for Lewes in their 2-0 win over the Kent
side.
Folkestone claimed all three Ryman Premier Division
points after a 2nd minute goal from James Everitt secured a 1-0 win at Heybridge
Swifts. Ramsgate had a convincing 4-0 victory over East Thurrock United with
Simon Pettit (2), Steffan Ball and Warren Schulz the goalscorers. Margate
secured a 1-1 draw at Staines Town thanks to an 87th minute equaliser from Jay
Saunders. Tonbridge scored through Scott Kinch as they were beaten 2-1 at home
by Harlow Town. Maidstone continue to struggle as despite a goal from Nick
Hegley they were beaten 2-1 at Hendon.
Dover threw a two goal lead away as they were held
to a 2-2 draw by Dulwich Hamlet in their Ryman Division One South fixture at
Crabble. The home side were indebted to Mark Lovell for both their goals.
Sittingbourne slipped to their first defeat as they were beaten 2-0 at home by
Metropolitan Police. Cray had a 4-1 win over Walton Casuals with brothers Jamie
and Lewis Wood on the scoresheet along with Michael Power who scored twice.
Ashford were leading Corinthian Casuals by a goal to nil courtesy of a Walid
Matata goal, however the Surrey visitors hit back to win 2-1. Chatham secured a
3-3 draw at Eastbourne Town with Steve Best (2) and Matt Solly with a penalty
their goalscorers. A second half goal from Steve Marshall saw Whitstable claim
their first win of the season as they won 1-0 at Horsham YMCA.
Dartford suffered a 3-2 loss at Northwood in their
Ryman Division One North fixture. The goalscorers for Tony Burman's side were
Eddie McClements and Brendan Cass.
Hythe booked themselves a home tie with Shoreham in
the FA Vase after they overcame fellow Kent League side Slade Green 3-0 at
Reachfields. Two goals from Joe Neilson and a Buster Smissen strike saw them
safely through.
Beckenham had Darren Wise and Michael Ebanks sent
off as they went down to a 1-0 defeat at Herne Bay who netted through Aaron
Firth. Erith & Belvedere also had a player sent off in the shape of Matt
Bedford as they drew 1-1 with Greenwich Borough. Nick Smith scored for the Deres
with Wilfred Gnaly replying. Thamesmead had Scott Mullholland and Curtis
Williams in goalscoring mood as they beat Tunbridge Wells 2-0 at Bayliss Avenue.
Marcus Cassius scored twice as Erith won 2-1 at Croydon. Goals from Dave
Bathgate and David Cory saw Deal win 2-0 at Holmesdale while Leroy Huggins (2)
and Ashley Proberts scored in VCD's 3-0 win at Sevenoaks. Martin Difede, David
Abe and Matt McHugh scored for Lordswood as they won 3-0 at bottom side
Faversham.
