Ebbsfleet went down to their first home defeat of the season in the Blue Square Premier as Stevenage Borough left Stonebridge Road with a 1-0 victory. The Fleet also had Paul McCarthy sent off near the end for deliberate handball.
Bromley defeated Hayes & Yeading 2-1 in the Blue Square South thanks to goals from Nic McDonnell and Gareth McCleary. Tony Sinclair scored a last minute winner for Welling as they overcame Bath City 1-0 at Park View Road. A hat-trick inside the first ten minutes from Charley Side helped Margate beat Kent rivals Tonbridge 3-1 in the Ryman Premier Division. The Angels pulled a goal back through Anthony Storey. Folkestone went down to a 1-0 home defeat against Boreham Wood while Ramsgate lost 3-0 at Harlow Town. Maidstone conceded a 34th minute goal as they were beaten 1-0 by Staines Town at Bourne Park. Erith & Belvedere who had Mark Nougher sent off secured an FA Cup tie at Maidstone after beating Ashford 2-0. Adrian Deane and Nick Smith were The Deres scorers. Chatham won 4-1 at Ringmer with Darren Smith, Craig Govey, Mark Brooks and Dominic Elmes all on the scoresheet. Goals from Michael Power and Jamie Wood saw Cray win 2-1 at Tooting & Mitcham United. The first FA Cup tie to be played at Datford's Princes Park saw the home side beat Leatherhead 3-0. Two goals from Brendan Cass and a Tom Bradbrook strike saw Tony Burman's side set up a home tie with Sittingbourne, who overcame Chertsey Town 1-0 with a goal from Lee Browning. A Matt Carruthers header saw Dover win 1-0 at Redhill now managed by Tommy Sampson. Whitstable took the lead at Thamesmead thanks to a Josh Maine header only for the Kent League side to reply through Scot Mulholland, Richard Dimmock and Ebeneezer McCabe to earn a 3-1 win. Deal had Adam Govey and Mark Pollard scored for Deal in their 2-1 win at Corinthian Casuals. A last minute goal by Micky Collins saw Erith beat Kent League rivals VCD 1-0. Herne Bay secured their place in the next round after goals from Aaron Firth and Luke Harvey saw them beat Guildford City. Hythe came friom behind to defeat Whytleafe 2-1 at Reachfields. Paul Fisk's men scored through Lee Winfield and Roy Godden..Tony Atkins with two and Luke Piscina saw Sevenoaks win 3-1 at Walton Casuals. A Paul Springett goal was mere consolation as Slade Green were beaten 6-1 at home by Croydon. Lordswood went down 1-0 at Selsey, while Faversham were involved in an amazing 7-6 defeat at Colliers Wood United. The Salters Lane outfit had Ricky Freeman (2), Ian Pullman (2), Jamie Stellon and David Read on target but to no avail. Beckenham are the new leaders of the Kent League after they beat newcomers Holmesdale 2-1 at Eden Park Avenue. Ross Cable and Nick Curran scored the Becks goals with James Dadson replying for the Bromley based side. |
