All Kent Football: Playing their first Blue Square Premier Division game under the name of Ebbsfleet United, the Kent side defeated visiting Northwich Victoria 3-1. Liam Daish's side scored in each half through Luke Moore and Chukki Eribenne.

Newly promoted Bromley drew 1-1 with Bath City in their Blue Square South fixture with Gareth Williams getting the goal. Welling scored through an Omari Coleman penalty and Michael Johnson as they were beaten 3-2 at home by Bognor Regis Town.

The opening day of the Kent League season saw Erith the days highest scorers as they won 5-0 at Faversham. Mark Tompkins has made wholesale changes to his side and they scored through Marcus Cassius (2), Anthony Pace (2) and Rolando Dou. Kent League newcomers Holmesdale scored through Stephen O'Rourke and Tom Dadson as they were beaten 4-2 at home by Erith & Belvedere. The Deres had Tom Maycock, Paul Gross, Nick Smith and Marlon Button in scoring form. Two goals from Badar Mohammed helped Greenwich Borough to a 2-1 win at Deal who replied through Aaron Robinson. Michael Smissen with a hat-trick and Lee Winfield scored as Hythe won 4-1 at Lordswood. Thamesmead had Richard Dimmock and Lee Loveridge on target as they overcame Croydon 2-0 at Bayliss Avenue.. VCD netted in the first minute through Mark Greatorex and an Ashley Probets penalty secured a 2-0 win against Tunbridge Wells. A last minute leveller from Tom Kelliher salvaged Slade Green a point in a 1-1 draw with Sporting Bengal at The Small Glen. At Greatness Park home side Sevenoaks drew 0-0 with Herne Bay.

Kents Ryman League sides continued their Pre Season fixtures. Folkestone's Kevin Watson hit a hat-trick and Jimmy Corbett a single as their side won 4-1 at Horsham YMCA. Craig Wilkins scored for Maidstone as they lost 2-1 at Bashley. Margate scored through Jimmy Jackson, James Pinnock, Charley Side (Pen) and John Akinde (Pen) as they won 4-0 at Kent neighbours Whitstable. Goals from Steffan Ball, Nick Davis and Stuart Vahid saw Ramsgate win 3-0 at Andover. Steve Harper recently signed from Welling scored for Tonbridge in their 2-1 defeat at Chatham who had James Donovan (OG) and Gavin Schulz on target. Jimmy Dryden scored for Dover in their 3-1 home defeat to East Thurrock United. Sittingbourne went diwn 1-0 at Brentwood Town.
