Whitstable manager Marc Seager speaking from Portugal where he is on holiday with his family told WTFC website: “Jimmy has been asked to take over the job of coach at Maidstone in Alan Walker’s absence through injury

(see here) http://www.whitstabletownfc.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=746&Itemid=22 When Jimmy joined the club he made no secret of his desire to move into coaching, we spoke about  coaching when he joined us from Maidstone half way through last season and I agreed that if the right offer came along he would go with our thanks and good wishes.  The previous year he was part of the squad under Lloyd Hume and Walker that won promotion to the Ryman League. It’s a measure of his experience that he was part of the Whitstable Town squad, which did the same last season.” Strouts has had a remarkable career in football, Seager adding: “Jimmy is a winner and we were lucky at Whitstable that we were able to call on his experience and professionalism at a time when we needed it. I know that Jimmy will do a good job for Maidstone in Walker’s absence and I wish Jimmy all the best and Alan a speedy recovery.”
