Town continued to dominate proceedings and after 23 minutes extended the lead when from a Lane corner big defender Jackson Ohakam nodded the ball past Jamie Williams in the home goal to make it 2-0.
The home side came back into the game in the second half and after a free kick conceded by Gary Sayer former Dartford midfielder Matt Fagan struck the resulting kick past Kevin Fewell to put the home side back in the game. Whitstable started to look a bit nervous from this moment as Sevenoaks upped their game without really extending Fewell, although Tony Atkins and Aaron Smith both went close. The game was put to bed when Marshall superbly beat Williams from 25 yards to settle the nerves and earn the reds a priceless three points in the quest for the title.
