Whitstable Chairman and Manager insist "we’re still in the driving seat” PDF Print E-mail

picture Marc Seager..Whitstable Town chairman Tony Rouse and manager Marc Seager were both still up beat after the weekend when they lost to Croydon 2-0 on Saturday, then losing on Bank Holiday Monday 4-0 away to 2nd place VCD. “We can’t lose sight that we are still a good side,” said Rouse:

“Yes; both Marc and myself are bitterly disappointed with the two games, although the score does not reflect it we look to be getting back to the type of football which saw us unbeaten in twenty three matches. We had a good Andy Constable shout for a goal disallowed I thought we had more of the game until they scored two quick goals which killed the game for us.”

Seager saying; “On the plus side it was good to have Gary Sayer and Josh Maine back in the side, but we did not keep the ball and when we had it we gave it away too cheaply. If you asked any of the other managers in the race for the title where they would rather be they would say in at the top of the league like Whitstable with the points in the bag. My message to the supporters would be keep the faith and turn up in numbers for the cup final on Sunday at Dartford, you can rest assured we will be doing our utmost to bring the Kent Senior Trophy back to Whitstable.” Per Laleng all the match pictures: see his website here: http://www.theimagefile.com/web/perlaleng
