VIDEO: Andy Kier was asked if the effort of playing senior football became easier as you got older: “I don’t think people realise what a massive sacrifices at our level of football we have to make to fit the game we love around our family life and work."
"I have been very lucky; my wife has been fantastic and now I have the children the strain would really tell if she did not support my love of football as she has over the years. Do I still love playing? Yes of course I do and to be honest if I get the chance to wear the first team shirt again Marc will have to rip it off my back, but I have really enjoyed this season playing under Ian with the reserves side. We have a great team sprit and they are such a great bunch of lads, the season as gone really well, better than we could have hoped and if we lift some silverware then it will mean as much to me and the rest of the lads as any other trophy, I will be dead chuffed.” |
