The Monday overnight rain put paid to four of the five scheduled Kent Football League fixtures on Tuesday evening which included the game at Greatness Park, in the Premier Division, between Sevenoaks Town and Whitstable Town. The only survivor was at the Charles Sports Ground, where Deal Town entertained Faversham Town, in a mid-table Premier Division encounter.
Faversham parted company with Terry Cordice, their manager, on Monday evening and after Saturday's loss, the home side began with purpose and they were rewarded when John Utterson netted just before the break. The 'Lilywhites' then equalised early in the second period, in heavy rain, through Bradley Maguire before Dave Bathgate restored Deal's advantage from the penalty spot. Faversham's David Read then netted a second for the visitors and a final score of two each and a point apiece. |
