by Mark Wyver: Ramsgate missed the chance to go within two points
of the Ryman Premier Division table after going down 3-2 at lowly Worthing. The
Rams who were 3-0 down at half time hit back with second half goals from Michael
Phillips and David Cory. To complete a miserable night for Jimmy Ward's men they
had James Gregory sent off.
Dartford raced into a 2-0 lead against Tooting
& Mitcham United in their Ryman Division One fixture, with goals from
Brendan Cass with his 25th goal of the season and Eddie McClements.The South
London visitors fought back however to earn a point in a 2-2 draw. Dover left it
until the 88th minute to score the winner in their 2-1 victory over
Leatherhead.Craig Cloke scored the Kent sides first before the late winner from
Shane Hamshare. Chatham slipped to yet another defeat as they went down 2-1 at
Hastings United. The struggling visitors netted through Rob Goodger who also had
Darren Smith sent off.
Whitstable moved into the Kent League Cup Semi
Finals after they defeated local rivals Faversham 3-0. Stuart King opened the
scoring from the penalty spot before two goals in the last five minutes from
Marcos Perona earned the Reds a 3-0 win.
All other scheduled games involving Kent sides were
postponed.
