A crowd of 5,615 saw Oxford Unted defeat Gravesend
& Northfleet 1-0 in the Nationwide Conference. The Kent side who remain in
fourth place also had defender Peter Hawkins sent off. Welling who had Martin
Carthy on target were beaten 3-1 at Newport County in Conference South.
An 88th minute equaliser from Ellis Remy saw
Folkestone earn a 1-1 draw with Hampton & Richmond Borough and are now five
points clear of the Ryman Premier Division drop zone. Bromley were beaten 1-0 at
home by Heybridge Swifts while Margate had substitute Nick Bagley on target in
their 2-1 defeat at Carshalton Athletic.Leading scorer John Main again found the
net for Tonbridge as they were beaten 3-1 at home by East Thurrock
United.
Maidstone thrashed bottom of the table Corinthian
Casuals 6-0 in their Ryman Division Onme fixture. Mo Takaloo hit a hatrick
whilst Alex Tiesse scored twice. The final goal came from a visiting defender
who put through his own net to complete a miserable day for the Surrey side. In
front of a crowd of 1,661 Dartford went down to a 2-1 defeat against Fleet
Town.Former Defender John Guest netted for Tony Burman's side who drop down to
fourth. Dover went down to their third succesive league defeat as they lost 2-0
at Metropolitan Police. Danny Whelan scored for Cray in their 2-1 defeat at
Burgess Hill Town. Sittingbourne scored through Mark Lovell and Lee Browning in
the first six minutes but went down 5-2 at Hastings United. Ashford netted a
late equaliser courtesy of George Fenwick after Kent rivals Chatham had taken
the lead through Rob Dennees. The 1-1 draw keeps both clubs in relegation
trouble.
Whitstable are now thirteen points clear at the top
of the Kent League after beating Tunbridge Wells 4-1. Top scorer Stuart King
scored twice whilst Tommy Martin and Jake Gess also found the net. The lowly
visitors replied through Ben Hilden. Croydon were held to a 1-1 draw by
improving Herne Bay. The home side took the lead through Neil John with Rhys
Lawson equalising for Jason Lillis's side.Hythe took a quick two goal lead at
Erith thanks to Aiden Pursglove and Michael Smissen. The home side replied
thanks to Ryan Hackett as Hythe won 2-1. Tony Atkins gave Sevenoaks the lead at
Deal only for the home side to run out 3-1 winners. On the scoresheet for Deal
were Jordan Barnett, John Utterson and Dave Bathgate(Pen). Faversham won 5-0 at
botom side Sporting Bengal with a first senior goal for Adam Oxberry the
highlight. Andy Martin(2), Jason Mills and Michael Seagers were the other
scorers. Greenwich Borough had Meshach Nugent and Victor Lojede to thank for
their goals in a 2-0 win over Thamesmead. Erith & Belvedere won their local
derby 4-2 against Slade Green. Former Green defender Paul Gross(2), Mark Nougher
and Mitch Crawley scored for the winners whilst Adam Morrish scored twice for
the visitors
