All the goals from the KPL.....Thamesmead Town, second at the start of the day in the Kent Football League Premier Division, slipped to a four nil defeat when they visited Herne Bay, a result which saw Croydon and VCD Athletic "leap frog" above the South East London club. At Winch's Field, 'Bay' continued their recent good form with a Dave Soutan brace in the first period before Luke Harvey and Ben Brown netted in the second half, their sixth home success. Croydon moved into second place with a two nil victory at Faversham Town, their sixth win on their travels, with goals from Neil John and Nick Tornaritis late in the second period which was witnessed by the day's best attendance, 174. VCD Athletic went third, on goal difference, as they beat Slade Green at Oakwood by four goals to two. Ricky Bennett put 'Green' in front after ten minutes before Stuart Abbott levelled, Leroy Huggins then put the home side in front before the break. Huggins went on to complete a hat-trick, one of three netted in the Premier Division programme, before Bennett his second twenty minutes from time. At the Mile End Stadium, Sporting Bengal United, the bottom side, were in front against the League leaders, Whitstable Town, when Benjamin Manning netted after just two minutes. An unfortunate own goal from 'Bengals' keeper, Uzzaman, levelled the match before Stuart King netted his second hat-trick of the season and Jake Gess completed the scoring and five one win which saw the 'Oystermen' open an eleven point lead. Jordan Barnett netted the day's third hat-trick as Deal Town defeated lowly Erith Town by six goals to two at the Charles Sports ground. The 'Dockers' were ahead through Ryan Hackett before Barnett netted his first and then Leon Ingram added Deal's second. Wayne Grizzell equalised ten minutes from time but Deal scored four in the last seven minutes with Barnett and Kelvin Davies netting two apiece. Beckenham Town beat Tunbridge Wells at Eden Park Avenue thanks to Charlie Hawkes strike nine minutes from time. Lordswood and Sevenoaks Town shared the points in a 1-1 draw at North Dane Way, Nick Smith scored for the 'Lords' before Matt Fagan equalised for the visitors

This was how the KL looked ahead to todays games....

The 'Oystermen', who are ten points clear and with four consecutive wins behind them, face a side who unfortunately are going through a bad patch with no win in their last nine outings. The second placed side, Thamesmead Town have a difficult trip to Herne Bay, who reached the Semi Finals of the Premier Division Cup at the expense of Croydon in midweek. 'Bay', with three League wins in their last four, will be looking to avenge an earlier defeat, by the odd goal in seven, against their opponents. At Salters Lane, Faversham Town play host to third placed Croydon, the first meeting of the League's two newcomers this season. The South East London side, who are third, could go second if other results go in the favour whilst the 'Lilywhites' will be hoping to find their form in the early stages of the campaign. VCD Athletic, who went fourth in midweek, entertain Slade Green at Oakwood, their third home match in eight days. With four wins in their last five outings, VCD will have one eye on next week's F. A. Vase encounter with Bideford. At the foot, Erith Town and Tunbridge Wells face difficult away matches at Deal Town and Beckenham Town respectively. At the Charles Sports Ground, Deal will be looking for a League "double" over the 'Dockers' who they beat by the odd goal in five earlier in the campaign. At Eden Park Avenue, Beckenham will be looking to build on their midweek performance whilst 'Wells' hope to reverse an earlier six two loss against their opponents. At North Dane Way, Lordswood will be hoping for repeat performance against their opposition, Sevenoaks Town, who they defeated three one in their previous meeting. The Erith & Belvedere game against Hythe Town at Park View Road has been postponed due Welling United's F. A. Trophy match.
