With the mouth-watering prospect of Whitstable hosting current leaders Thamesmead at the Belmont this Saturday, Town are hoping for a good sized attendance. Whitstable secretary Alan Gower: “This is sure to pull in a few extra football supporters as there is no game on at our near neighbours Herne Bay or Faversham, the fact that both ourselves and Thamesmead are pushing for a tilt at the title should make for a great game. see more
Last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Tunbridge Wells in the Kent Senior Trophy when we got through to the semi-finals was a decent attendance, this Saturday we are hoping that we can easily top two or three hundred. The support we get at the Belmont is amongst the best, if not the best in the Kent league; certainly we are the most vocal and it really gives the players a lift.” WTFC: |
