Mark Wyver....KENT LEAGUE...Whitstable Town moved back to the top of the Kent Football League Premier Division on Wednesday evening as they defeated their near neighbours, Herne Bay at Winch's Field with a Steve Marshall strike three minutes from time. The best League attendance of the season, 530, turned out for the game which saw the 'Oystermen' extend their unbeaten run in the League to fourteen games and their fifth straight win.  

Croydon moved into third place in the table after goals from Marc Whiteman(2), Neil John and Chris Hill saw them defeat Sporting Bengal 4-0. Despite having Adrian Hatcher sent off after only seven minutes lowly Tunbridge Wells won 1-0 at Sevenoaks courtesy of an Andy Garrett goal. A goal from Adrian Dean saw Erith & Belvedere defeat bottom side Erith 1-0 while Anthony Pace gave Faversham the lead at Lordswood only for the home side to level the game at 1-1 through a Nick Smith penaltyw the 'Oystermen' extend their unbeaten run in thheir fifth 

NATIONWIDE CONFERENCE

Gravesend & Northfleet were indebted to a 41st minute goal from Luke Moore which saw the Fleet defeat Crawley Town 1-0 at Stonebridge Road.The Fleet are in seventh place in the table after this victory.

 

NATIONWIDE CONFERENCE SOUTH

Welling slipped to third in the table after they went down 2-1 at Fisher Athletic. Adrian Pennock's side only had an injury time goal from Danny Kedwell to show for their efforts.

 

RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION

Ramsgate and Margate shared the honours in the Thanet derby at Southwood. The visitors took a fourth minute lead through Jimmy Jackson with Warren Schulz equalising for the Rams to level the game at 1-1. A goal in each half from Fraser Logan and Nick Barnes saw Tonbridge win 2-0 at Folkestone while Bromley drew 1-1 at Carshalton Athletic.

 

RYMAN DIVISION ONE

Maidstone took the lead at landlords Sittingbourne through Simon Austin only for Mark Lovell to net a late penalty and earn a point. Steve Searle and Lee Shearer were sent off for their respective sides. Dartford cliamed all three points after winning 3-2 at Chatham. Jay May, Lew Watts and a penalty from Ryan Hayes were the Darts marksmen. Craig Wilkins was on target for Dover in their 1-1 draw at Hastings while Simon Glover earned Ashford a point in their 1-1 draw at Whyteleafe. Cray earned a point in a 1-1 draw with Croydon Athletic.
