Picture: Sam Prett scored two as Whitstable defeat Sevenoaks: At the Belemony Whitstable Town  closed the gap at the top to three points as they beat Sevenoaks Town by four goals to one and extend their unbeaten start to the League campaign to twelve matches. After a goalless first half, Sam Prett put the home side in front before Matt Fagan equalised for the visitors, Gary Carter then restored the 'Oystermens' advantage before Marcus Perona and a second from Prett completed the scoring. Whitstable also have three games in hand on the leaders.

The Kent Football League Premier Division leaders, Thamesmead Town, were surprisingly defeated on Saturday by Slade Green at home by the odd goal in three, their first League loss at Bayliss Avenue. 'Green' completed a notable "double" over their opponents as they also won their recent Kent Senior Trophy encounter on penalties. In the first period, John Paul McKey fired the visitors in front before the prolific Ross Cable levelled for the home side after the restart. With the Xmas festivities just around the corner, 'Green's' winner was scored by, the aptly named, Ebenezer Masade which saw their first League success since mid-September. Greenwich Borough remain third after their win, by the odd goal in five, against Lordswood at home. Meshach Nugent opened the scoring for 'Borough' with a fifth minute penalty but Mick Smith levelled before the break. Smith then netted his second to put visitors in front, Nugent then scored a second spot kick before Harbingi Grant netted the winner two minutes from time. Croydon made it five wins out five to move into fourth place but they left it late to beat Deal Town by the odd goal in three at Albert Road. The fastest goal of the day was scored after just three minutes as Deal took the lead with a Dave Bathgate penalty. With time ticking away, the home side levelled through Sam Warner with two minutes remaining and the winner, in the last minute, was scored by Bromek Dabrowa. Faversham Town completed a League "double" over Beckenham Town as they won for the first time in five outings, the score two one. All the goals came in the first period with Andy Martin netting a brace for the 'Lilywhites' with Wade Falana scoring for the visitors. Herne Bay were convincing winners against the bottom side, Erith Town with goals from Nigel Pointon, Richard Dimmock and Ronan O'Connor. Mark Tompkins netted Erith's consolation penalty. Hythe Town were also winners on the road as they beat Sporting Bengal United two nil with strikes from Mike Smissen and an own goal from Shane Baptiste.
