Peter Wager.Kent League President and long association withTunbridge Wells
FC It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that League President,
Peter Wager passed away on Tuesday 12 December; Peter was 78 years old had been
ill in Pembury hospital for some time.
Peter had a very long association with the Kent League and Tunbridge Wells
FC and was well known and respected throughout the non-league game due to his
connections on the various committees administered through the Football
Association. As League Chairman for many years he was instrumental in gaining
sponsorship and insisted on adherence to rules by all. He will be sadly missed
by many people and, as a mark of respect, all Clubs are requested to hold a one
minute silence prior to their next home game as a mark of respect.
