by Mark Wyver: Bromley moved up to second in the Ryman Premier Division table after they defeated bottom of the table Hendon 2-0 away from home.First half goals from Kirk Watts and Gareth Williams saw Mark Goldberg's side gain the three points.
Herne Bay stayed in contention for Qualification from Group A in the Kent League Cup after goals from Gary Cook, Rhys Lawson and a penalty from goalkeeper Jack Delo saw them win 3-1 at Hythe who replied through Stuart Taylor. Erith & Belvedere finished as winners of Group B after they defeated Faversham 2-0 courtesy of goals from Mark Nougher and Daryl Wilson. Terry Cordice's stuttering Faversham finished the group as runners up. Tunbridge Wells earned a trip to Whitstable in the Quarter Final stages of the Kent Senior Trophy after they saw of the challenge of Kent County League side Hollands & Blair 4-1. The home side who are bottom of the Kent League netted through Jason Bourne, Elliott Everson, Adrian Hatcher and Ben Hilden which completed a good night for Martin Farnie's side. |
