Heavy rain accounted for three of the Second Round fixtures in the Kent Senior Trophy which will now be re-scheduled, details of the new dates will be published in the Fixtures Page when known. The other five encounters provided a couple of "Cup shocks" as Herne Bay were beaten at West Wickham, the Southern Amateur League side, and Slade Green defeated the League leaders, Thamesmead Town, after a dramatic penalty shoot out.

At West Wickham, 'Bay' took the lead on the fifth minute through Ronan O'Connor but poor defending cost the Kent Football League side dear as the home side won with goals from Ashley Everitt, Sam Kevin and Paul Barham. At Bayliss Avenue, an own goal from Adam Heazlewood put Thamesmead in front in the first half before Luke Morris netted a second half brace for the visitors. Curtis Williams then equalised two minutes from time the send the match into the extra period. No further goals then saw a penalty "shoot out" and then sudden death with Slade Green's Lee Barber, the hero, netting the winner with score of 7-6.
