The Second Round of the Kent Senior Trophy dominates the weekend action for many Kent Football League clubs and several teams from the Kent County League. The highlight of the round is the match between third placed, Whitstable Town, and the fourth placed side, Greenwich Borough at the Belmont. They have met twice so far this season in the Kent Football League Premier Division Cup and, on both occasions, the honours have been even with two draws.

Saturday's encounter will see an eventual winner, with extra time and penalties if required. At Bayliss Avenue, the League leaders Thamesmead Town, who were the Trophy Winners in 2005, entertain Slade Green, their first meeting this season. There are two other "all Kent League ties" which see Lordswood play Sevenoaks Town at North Dane Way and Erith Town will entertain Hythe Town. These two games should produce close affairs and with the unpredictability of the cup, it would be difficult to predict the winners of these matches. At Eden Park Avenue, Beckenham Town will meet Milton Athletic from the Kent County League in a re-match of last season's Quarter Final encounter which saw the 'Becks' win six two. Tunbridge Wells also have a home tie against a Kent County League team in Hollands & Blair at the Culverden Stadium whilst Herne Bay will travel to the Amatuer League side, West Wickham, who in previous years have produced the odd shock or two and, many years ago, they have reached the Semi Finals of the Trophy. The final encounter, at Wested, sees the former Kent League side, Crockenhill play their fellow Kent County League side, Bearsted. A place in the Quarter Finals is at stake in the New Year for all the sixteen clubs competing.
