Marc Seager WTFC
manager: speaking after WTFC verse Lordswood:
“Second week running we have been
down to ten men, but to take four points out
of six when we need to dig deep into our resources and showed great courage to
get something out of the game. One of my philosophies is that I believe the
mark of a good side is that if they can’t get all three points, then they don’t
get beat.
A lot of teams would have panicked going a goal down with only ten
men, can you say what kept them going? We showed today that we have
something different about us this year, sure we are the team that everyone is
trying to turn over, but all good sides have to cope with that, and I believe
we are a good side. I think last weeks sending off was a bit harsh, this week
was just plain silly as Andy was walking a tightrope after his first half
yellow and he let himself down. Look Andy (Constable) is the sort of player who
wears his heart on his sleeve and sometimes he does some silly things he knows
he has made a mistake he said his bit in the dressing room and we move on. If
we had finished the game with eleven men we would have won today, we were right
on top then down to ten men, then a goal down, we showed character coming back
to grab a point but what’s happened has happened and we move on. If the game
had been five minutes longer we would have won, we were right on top and you’d
have thought that we were the side with eleven instead of the other way round.
And although we dropped points today we are still un-beaten and mentally that
gives such belief. WTFC © 2006 (match report to follow) http://www.theimagefile.com/web/perlaleng
